Important Information for Returning to Learn
Principal Troy Lurz/ Assistant Principal/AD Charles Hruby
Students will park in designated areas by the football field, on the North side of the Tays building, or in the gravel across from the Grade 6-8 building. Prudent parking practice is expected, and common rules of acceptable parking will be expected. Please respect the privilege of parking on school managed/owned property by maintaining and properly looking out for others. Remember, there are a lot of students walking, running and playing in and around the Hot Springs Public School Campus. Parking on school district property is a privilege and not a right. Thank you in advance for thinking and operating safely. Click here to read more.
Greetings Bison Faithful:
Welcome Back! We missed our students. The new year brings many new faces, opportunities, and challenges. I am Mr. Troy Lurz and I came to Hot Springs after 18 years serving as an administrator in Nebraska and Wyoming. I am part of the administrative team at Hot Springs Secondary School. My assistant principal/activities director is Mr. Charles Hruby (also new) who comes to the Hot Springs educational family via Webster, South Dakota. Together, we have the opportunity to help unify the middle school and high school as a grade 6-12 school. Although the buildings themselves remain the same physically and the State of South Dakota identifies them separately, we will operate as one building. We are a family. Click here to read more.
